bodies

bodies is an electroacoustic jazz quartet led by saxophone player Alejandra Borzyk. The band experiments with saxophone textures and synthesizers, creating an ambiguous sonic landscape as the result of the combination rhythms from various styles.

The group uniquely incorporates diverse influences from the current international jazz scene: live electronic music from Brussels (ECHT!, Commander Spoon), rhythms and stylistic diversity from London (Nubya Garcia), the tradition, harmonies, and free improvisation of the United States, and the minimalism of Northern Europe (Bendik Giske).
