Bodies is Belgian laureate of career boost programme Propulsion

Bodies supported by Propulsion, mentored by Manu Hermia

Bodies joined the Propulsion programme after being selected by an international jury. The quartet led by Alejandra Borzyk will be accompanied from October 2023 to June 2024, and its mentor will be the renowned Belgian musician Manu Hermia.

PROPULSION #2 is a support programme for leaders of jazz and related music projects in the Grand Est region, Luxembourg and French-speaking Belgium. It’s a career booster, offering an artistic insight and support in developing strategies for distribution, production and communication, as well as artistic guidance.
For this second edition, Belgium joins the partner countries, and candidates will be offered two options: PropulsionBANDS, aimed at jazz project leaders, and PropulsionWOMEN, aimed at women musicians who want to try their hand at the adventure of project leadership.

The main partners are LA COMPAGNIE TANGRAM in Strasbourg, JAZZ STATION in Brussels and TRIFOLION in Echternach, Luxembourg.
Propulsion is funded by the European Union, the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande Duchesse Charlotte, the Région Grand Est, the BNP foundation, the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles and Kultur LX.
The production partners are the town of Schiltigheim in partnership with Jazzdor, Neimenster Abbey, the Colmar Jazz Festival, the Gaume Jazz Festival, Jazzus and the Brussels Jazz Weekend.
